VisGuide - Visual Information System

VisGuide is THE software to distribute visual information such as data and videos via network. It contains all kinds of formats, turns the monitors automatically on and controls them as well.

Welcoming

Important visitors and groups of visitors should be welcomed appropriately at your company. Gone are the times, in which even the most important visitors were welcomed anonymously. Today, in the era of modern communication, the appropriate welcoming presentation should be a matter of fact. Of course, each and every customer is favourably impressed - there is no better way to start a meeting with a VIP.

		In the partition “Welcome” you will find a prepared template, which has been adapted to the Corporate Identity of the company. The name of the guest to be welcomed and the respective company have to be entered. You can also choose a title or even a picture. This means that the person in question can be welcomed with a picture or the company logo. After entering all relevant data in the prepared mask, the actual welcoming picture on the respective monitor will be shown with the “preview” button. Changes are possible at any time. Normally all relevant data regarding visitors will be entered at the beginning of the work day or the beginning of the working week. For the secretary, having all the relevant data for the week, it is easy and economical to enter the data in the prepared template. In case there are changes regarding visitors, the welcoming information can be altered within seconds in the graphic matrix.
This is how it works:
		Enter the welcoming text and the names of the expected customers or groups.
		Select now the customer logo or the picture of the customer.
		After pressing the “preview” button, the image will appear on the operators monitor to control if everything is alright.
		Now an information block appears on the operator's monitor. It is shown clearly by a well designed graphical interface. Rescheduling is very simple.
		Arabic, asian, russian and characters of other countries can be shown as well.

All options for visual presentations

All prevalent multimedia formats for film and picture can be shown with VisGuide. They should be entered when the message will be prepared, together with the time of the beginning and the time of the expected end.

Text/ pictures for welcoming, agendas, etc.		Text with integrated pictures or jpg-files will be implemen-ted here. Fields of use are e.g. welcome charts, agendas, special offers, weather information, news, etc.
PowerPoint		PowerPoint files will be played in an infinite loop. VisGuide can also show films, which are integrated in PowerPoint presentations. Playlists will also be played in the infinite loop. This means that several PowerPoint-presentations can be played one after the other.
Multimedia files		All the main multimedia video formats can be played: - mpg - mpeg - avi - mov - wmv and even the new mp4-format. Replay also high definition files (HDTV) With every new version this format list will be extended.
TV, DVD and video streaming		Real video sources can be chosen here. This could be TV programs (CNN, BBC, Bloomberg etc.) or cameras for surveillance.
Flash animations		Flash animations in the swf format can be played. Because of their individual design and display sizes each animation can be scaled.
Web sites		Web sites can be played. When a customer can't supply an individual design for his monitor presentation, he simply can refer to a web site such as www.vicom.de/ conference.html.

Simple Handling

		There is no easier handling. The welcoming system can be handled e.g. by the secretary at her workstation. The layout of the single charts has already been prepared in templates. Therefore it is easy to enter name of visitors, pictures, menus, agendas etc. and send them with one click of the mouse to the respective or to all presentation media.

Restaurant/ Cafeteria

		The presentation of the menus can be prepared in a fast and professional way with the help of VisGuide. Even several food give-out counters can be supplied with individual menus at the same time.

Advertisement

VisGuide is the perfect medium for the conveyance of advertisement.

On the one hand all kinds of advertisements can be displayed (from advertisement films to spontaneous offers) and on the other hand these messages can be shown at predetermined times - the so called Digital Signage.

8 am - 12 am Advertisement for kids. Chewing gum, toys...		12 am - 7 pm Advertisement for families. Leisure time, furniture...		7 pm - 11 pm Advertisement for adults. Alcohol, perfume...

		Advertisement via projection in shopping windows. Even during brightest sunshine, colours and contrast are brilliant by using the VICOM SunScreen foil.
		Customer information regarding food quality and offers in diverse departments at the supermarket. In the supermarket on this picture the turnover during product promotions increased by 30% due to the visual information system.

Distribution of information

Basis for the distribution of all signals are network cables (Cat 5 or Cat 7), a WLAN-connection respec-tively. On this network all signals and control commands are transmitted: picture information, multimedia, TV channels, controls and monitoring for the connected displays.

Most companies already have the necessary network installed, which means the subsequent implementation of VisGuide poses no problems.

		Advertisement and information will be sent via FTP to destinations inland and abroad. Usually the download process will take place during night. This means new programs can automatically be played the next morning. Important for the receiving terminal is that the contents can be edited, so individual offers can be imple-mented or prices can be adjusted to the local market situation.

Integration in companies - Several server - numerous displays

Within big firms VisGuide can be integrated precisely according to the necessities for optimal use and maximum efficiency. Multiuser-server and different display varieties we be supplied.

Booking of rooms and public guidance

Booking of rooms and the combined visitor guidance system are offered optionally. It is a professional room booking management with visualisation to be used for conferences, events, hotels, movie theatres, etc.

The booking of rooms is combined with the synchronized visitor guidance within the building. For example, when booking the conference room “London” from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, all the monitors will show the corresponding information, starting at 9.00 am. The monitors will also provide individual directions to the conference room. At 4.00 pm the information disappears automatically from the monitors.

At the same time the digital door plate at the conference room shows the times for the meeting.

The meetings will be announced automatically on displays with individual directions to the conference rooms. As soon as the meeting closes, the information will disappear from the display.

		The template for booking of rooms will give you a perfect view of all meetings. Changes regarding meetings can be effected in seconds.
